Resumen clinico para navegacion en espanol.
Antifungals target fungal-specific structures such as ergosterol in the cell membrane or cell wall synthesis enzymes. Different classes have different spectra of activity and routes of administration.
Used to treat fungal infections ranging from superficial (thrush, athlete's foot, ringworm) to serious systemic infections (invasive candidiasis, aspergillosis).
For topical use, apply as directed and continue for the recommended duration. For systemic use, liver function monitoring is important with longer courses.
